Historical buildings and the old towns rampart give evidence of the more the 1000year long history of Wildeshausen. The town ist situated in the environment of many prehistoric monuments with huge heath covered landscapes (Pestruper Gräberfeld) and more than 20 megalitic tombs of the newstoneage, which are prehistoric places of European status. Walks or tours by bike (borrowing is possible!) will offer each visitor varience and enjoyment of nature. In Wildeshausen and nearby you can find several attractice tripgoals: Historical buildings, prehistoric monuments, museums and wonderful nature, "Wildeshauser Geest", invite. But there are still other offers to observe in Wildeshausen: Golf (9 golf courses within a radius of 35 km), riding, bowling, rowing, fishing, swimming in the spa, cinema and the discotheque Fun Factory. Interesting cities like Bremen, Oldenburg, Hannover and the northsea coast are not that far away. |
